Our dear friend Christopher Wood is excitingly off participating in the ITU World Championship Duathlon tomorrow representing GB and we want to wish him all the best.
There’s a bunch of us here at Rocket who wished we were over there in person supporting Chris but we just couldn’t get the time out!
The organisers of the race have kindly set up some live streaming on the finish line, however this leads us to think how great it would be if there was new technologies introduced whereby you can track individuals by name or race number. Sailing races now have this via GPS so you can track boats in races, and with the rise of certain really good applications such as RunKeeper (an app we at RocketSports particularly love) along with Garmin’s Sports products – which is our favourite, then it can’t be far away before this is introduced.
Chris has had some great support from various companies, including Fred Williams Cycles, High5 Sports Nutrition and Sutton Maddock and we hope perhaps RocketSports will be able to support athletes such as Chris in the future.
