As part of the London Prepare Series getting ready for the Olympics, excitement built up today in Richmond Park as the cyclists rode through the park at great speeds.
Also closely accompanied with a massive entourage, something you’d compare to the Tour de France!
The route started from The Mall in Central London, headed out into Surrey through Walton, Weybridge, The Byfleets, Dorking, Box Hill, Leatherhead and Esher before returning to London for the finish. It is 140km they’d have covered today
We managed to get a glimpse of the cyclists as they raced past us… here’s a little video of the spectacle in the leafy suburbs of Richmond Park! There’s a bit of a gap between the first 3/4 cyclists and the main peloton so bear with the few seconds gap.
